Curious as to who has tried to "cut the cord" from cable or sat TV

what do you use?

I have been looking at various options, be it devices or similar, but all seem to require some sort of connection..

between roku and firesticks and slings and even HDHomerun or youtubeTV, for someone such as us who tend to stream via Hulu. Netflix and Amazon, sure hate to have to pay some company for channels we dont use...

I bought this HDTV Digital amplified antennafor one of my TV's that's not connected to cable and it works great. I put it on the wall instead of on a window and still get great reception for local stations along with lots of others. Mine's black but I'm pretty sure they come in white as well. Looks like from the link that there's also an upgraded model now too.

Trying it again to see if it shows a reply was provided:

Looks like the HTML code for the link didn't copy over

I struggled with the idea. My son in law brags how great it is

I have a package of att internet and directv choice package with 4 receivers for 4 tvs - only 1 tv is smart (for streaming)

Right now, I pay $82/ month

Thinking about doing internet only, then antenna, the streaming, needing hardware for the non smart tvs, - it all seemed too much fuss to figure out how to feed 4 tvs, pay for net and streaming, etc. we like too many cable shows and also enjoy live sports - so i guess i am too lazy to cut the cord as i am not sure the savings and fuss would be worth it!

I came across this streaming service recently: https://try.philo.com/ Maybe it will fit your viewing needs. Also the flat type antenna was a great success for me in the rental in the Phoenix area. 87 channels total including the locals. Advantage in that area is the towers are on South Mountain giving great "line-of-sight" type signals.

Great thread. This old dog is trying to learn a new trick also. Will follow with interest.
