I bought a Whirlpool Refrigerator from Lowe's and had it delivered. The delivery company came and installed the fridge and attached the existing water line for the water.ice maker. Was okay at beginning. Well it's like 3 weeks later and I went in my basement and saw water all over the drop ceiling tiles. One tile was saturated and it had a high hat attached!! I shut off electricity. The rug is also saturated with water. I pulled the fridge and of course it was coming from the back of the fridge. Water is on the kitchen floor in the back of the fridge. The cork board on the bottom attached to the fridge is also soaked. I had to shut off the basement breakers. The basement is finished and now smells of course.

So, I called Lowes and they have to call me back. What are my options for anyone who knows? I don't want to open a HO claim because of course my HO Ins would rise and I don't think i should! So is Lowe's responsible? Is the Delivery company responsible? i just want to know before they call what I have to argue. The wood floor underneath fridge is wet and the joists too. Can the fridge actually fall through with the weakened floor?

In our experience with Lowes, is that they will do handsprings and jump though hoops to please you. Call them first.

Yeah I've got O.C.D. Old, cranky, and dangerous.

Everything will kill you, so choose something fun!
