Yesterday I noticed my KitchenAid KSRB25FKSS03 side by side refrigerator was running way too cold. Everything on top shelf was frozen solid. I set the controls for both the freezer and refrigerator all the way to "warmer" and overnight the temperature on the refrigerator top shelf rose to about 37 degrees. Seems the compressor and/or fans may be running continuously as I never hear it/them turn off. I understand this could be due to the damper control or temperature sensor. How do I diagnose to determine which it is?

Did you happen to measure the temps in both sections? If yes, post them here.

What is the freezer temp measured at?

Yours doesn't have a temp sensor.

It does have an Air diffuser assembly from freezer into refrigerator

Over the weekend, something changed and the compressor began to cycle on/off again as it always has. I returned the temp settings for refrigerator and freezer to the original settings and everything seems to be working normally. Refrigerator averages around 40 degrees and freezer about 0 degrees. It's like the compressor had hung-up and was running continuously. What would have caused this?

Something jammed in the air flow ( jar, can, etc ), temp control stuck, air damper stuck would be prime suspects.

Thanks Jeff, I'll monitor closely to make sure it keeps working.
