Did you get the piece off the shaft yet?

It must get boring preaching to the choir.

HERE is what your shaft looks like without that corroded piece on it.
No matter what the new arm looks like as far as outside appearance goes,if the description says it will fit,it will.

I know NAPA's price is up there, but THIS is the one that fits your car.
You said you ordered one. Couldn't get one locally?

It's been raining here all weekend...and I work Sat and Sun. Mrs is working now...so not yet.

I'll use a dremel to cut the piece off.

Ordered from Amazon (it arrived on Sat) since I knew It'd be a few days before I'd have time to get to it.

Dremel made quick work of the knurled piece....sort of. Cut through most of the way...then used a screw driver split it. Top half came off, bottom half just sat there laughing at me. Grab it with fingers...try to pull...try to twist...and it doesn't budge! Just barely touched it with pliers and it fell off.

New arm slips into place. I was expecting a click or something to let me know it was in place. Nothing. So i put the retaining nut back on. Everything seems to work just fine.

I question the new nut cover though...it seems like it's just barely attached. I expect it to just fall off going down the road.
