Wow - Congrats to other longtime mustaches!

The last time I shaved my upper lip was July 31, 1974 - before my junior year at college.

When we brought a bunch of oh-so-full-of-themselves new engineer grads into our group in '97, I humbled them by saying my mustache was older than they were.

Thought about shaving a few times - but it's a part of me, thick and bushy - and most everybody I know has never seen me without it.

I bought an electric head trimmer about 20 years ago - It's all I shave with, scraping my mug down to a nice 1/8" stubble.

This past fall found me working at a local oil refinery for their turn-around. Was required to be clean shaven (so the half-mask respirator would fit in the event of an H2S leak, scary stuff!). Worst part of the job, by far.

er, somethin'....

Mustache was supposed to be a fu-man-chu, popular way back when, but it curled up instead of down. I kept the handlebar, but keep it not-too-long, just bushy, no wax.

I belong to the Dollar shave club ....... every month I spend ONE dollar at the Dollar Store for an 8 pack of pink double edge razors.

I go right from the shower to the sink and shave with nothing but water. Works fine.

Respect all men .... grovel to none.

This is how I shave. I've saved hundreds of dollars by not using those wimpy razor blade things...
