That's sort of the idea with the poly...'insurance' for
whatever occasional thing pops through, like wind-blown
rain on a little crack in the masonry. As a drainage plain,
it wouldn't have to be 6-mil. 2 or 3 might be better.
Two strong barriers (the surround fiberglass and the 6-mil)
could set up a trap.

What about on the one exterior wall that I plan on installing the rigid foam insulation? Should a poly barrier be used there or left off.

That was my main concern if I should use or should Not use a poly barrier on the exterior wall.

Sorry I am just getting confused here.

You should be fine with the foam...sorry for the
thought doodling. You get 2 drainage plains with the foam
pieces.
