Just a mention,
The stability of the stove would probably be the major
concern...knocking over a boiling pot because the legs
I used a coleman three burner placed on the top
of the electric range for a week when we were without power.
Obviously, some care was necessary.
Now, have a gas stove (heaven,hate electric) and pursuant
to the original statement of the flame going out,
there's nothing to prevent that from happening on a gas stove either.
Unless you turn the knob to the click-click of the igniter,
the gas just keeps flowing.
Besides, if it wasn't that way, how would they blow up houses,
or stick mother-in-laws head in oven and turn on gas.....
in the movies, THE MOVIES, I never tried it myself...
