Feelin' pretty proud today, as we wait for some paperwork to come our way.

My daughter, she'll be 11 in May, was offered a sponsorship by a local bike shop. They'll work with a major bike manufacturer to get us deals on high-end equipment, and offer us physical support in the race circuit next season. In return, we use their store as exclusively as possible, and participate in store events, with Sophie acting as a demonstrator during lessons and such.

She's a might excited. We know the shop owner pretty well, though it's not the shop we've frequented previously (our usual store doesn't operate a "team"). An exciting beginning, we hope.

er, somethin'....

An athlete and a pretty one too.

I was always taught to honor my elders, but it's getting harder and harder to find any.
