Well, it will start for only a few seconds if I spray carb cleaner directly into the carburetor, but once the engine reaches normal operating speed, it cuts off. I've already installed a brand new carburetor (after trying to clean old one to no avail), new fuel line, new fuel filter, new gas as of this morning, and the problem still persists.

Is there something obvious I'm missing here?

Thanks!

I went thru the same adventure with my Craftsman snow blower.
Added B-12 Chemtool to premium fuel.
Took a few cranks, coughed, sputtered, ran.

Runnin' like a top since

New Gas yes, but did you clean out the gas tank? Is there a screen in the gas tank outlet? Is it clogged? If you pull the gas line does the gas run freely out of the tank (into a container). Is the vent in the gas cap clogged? Will it run with the gas cap off?

Just a few things to think about.

I have a Craftsman acting up as well. It boggles my mind.

Well, maybe I just needed to give the new gas some time? I bought some B-12 and went out today with the intention to remove the gas tank and clean thoroughly as I'd seen some particulates in the bottom. But decided to give it one more crank and it starts up no problem!

Can't say I understand completely. Maybe it just needed to get the old gas through the system and I didn't stick with it long enough.

Anyways, thanks for the advice!
