Can anyone tell me what kind of wire is commonly used in these? Are they solid or braided? Copper or ???

Need a link also if possible.

the type of cable metal is usually copper. stranded typically lasts longer than solid core but due to the size of modern cables most cores are solid wire. (if it's a very narrow tiny cable it'll be solid core, fatter cables are usually stranded.)
