Still remember daughter's dryer was not drying and apparently a good 3 foot was packed with leaves and twigs because birds liked to make a nest...only then did I notice no cover on the outside of house

My folks bought a new Kirby from a door-to-door salesman in 1960. I think they finally got it paid off in the early 70's. frown

I picked up a Kirby back in the mid-1980's from a retired couple for probably $75. It was too heavy for them to use anymore. I still have it, though we don't use it today because when we built our current house we installed a central vacuum system.
