If I installed this shelf system
ClosetMaid ShelfTrack 5 ft. - 8 ft. Nickel Closet Organizer Kit
http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-25ecodZ5...p;storeId=10051
in the following configuration

How can I attach the following doors to the front of the shelf system?
http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S79828851/ or http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S39848380/ or any of the doors fron the PAX system from Ikea?
This is for a living room , so I am trying to get a solution to hide the clutter but also add some style.
I am open to storage suggestions:
I want to be able to stack boxes and crates on these shelves like these :

I would think you'd need to build a frame in front of the shelving to mount the doors. I don't see how you could attach them to the movable shelving system you've installed.

Agree... Some form of structure in front. Either that or nice curtains...

No frame needed if you use an overhead track and pivots on the bottom (bi-fold). Or in the case of sliders(by-pass), tracks on both the top and bottom.

I'd consider going with an all wood enclosed bookcase design. Family Handyman has some excellent designs. IMO one of those would look a lot more stylish for a living room than what you have in mind.

I don't think the cost would be a factor since all that hardware you are showing plus the doors would be pretty expensive.

new option/question:

how can i reinforce the shelves in this system?
Ikea Pax system?

http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50214560/

Ikea states that the weight limit per shelf is 44 pounds.
the back of the cabinet is that paper/thin cardboard material. I was thinking of using wood to reinforce it somehow.

I don't know about the PAX system, but the Billy system at Ikea may offer you some additional option and there are some units where you can add a variety or wood or glass doors.

Good luck.

We have the wire shelves in our bathroom (builder installed) and I don't like them for one reason: small stuff falls through or tips over. Otherwise they are fine, and you can see through them. Putting DVDs or CDs on wire shelves would be a laugh!

I saw an ad somewhere for clear Contact "paper" that is stiff enough that it will bridge over the wire shelf gaps.

The Billy system is too narrow for my needs.
