"Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke told a congressional committee the economic recovery is weakening. But the good news is most Americans will not be affected because they had no idea there was a recovery."

I really appreciate the lack of the depression of 2009.
A lack of horrors is something to
ponder when considering the offshore
outsource leverage wheeler-dealer man.

Many places. that's a pretty short summary.

Bain seemed to have a modus op. that usually included
taking over, leveraging a company to the hilt,
charging amazing consulting fees for banal advice,
slashing costs, and fobbing the asset off. Many places
were quite bad off and in big-time debt when Bain was done.

Sound like a great "entrepeneurial" plan for Romney's US?
Sounds like how the wreck happened, not like a cure.

What's that got to do with economic recovery? Or is that a typical liberal diversion?

You are funny.

Massive over-leveraging, churning, and financial options
CAUSED the collapse.

"..What's that got to do with economic recovery?..."

haha... it has everything to do with the C O L L A P S E !!

You support massive overleveraging and money-handler fees
as the "entrepeneurial" way to a recovery???

And the liberal response? Throw more and more money at the problem and hope (more like keep one's fingers crossed) that it will all right itself.

GM bailed out by the government. Now how many government purchased vehicles are GM? (BTW - A union payback among other things)

Bail out the banks. Then they reward themselves as if nothing happened in the first place.

Housing/real estate collapse...writing on the walls for years. Precipitated by Barney Frank and Christopher Dodd among others.

Then what? They go and pass another stupid piece of legislation to cover their arses (Dodd-Frank Financial Act) and then promptly leave office when the temperature starts to rise in the proverbial kitchen...To avoid impropriety at best and prosecution at worse.

I don't agree with a lot of liberal spending,
but funny you should mention GM. GM is on track to pay back.
Meanwhile, about a million jobs were saved. Exceeded my
expectations.

The smoke jobs about financial controls are scary, since
they don't even go far enough. To this day, revealing
simple risk facts and tests do not have to be done that
had to be done 30 yrs ago.

So you are really excited about pump-n-dump "entrepeneurials"
and giving loans on a $700K house to a part-time carpenter?
With any luck you and the sheep can bring that depression on.

Well Jim, you have to be smoking "something". GM stock is below $20, we need at least $58 to break even. We are still subsidizing the Volt @ $7500 each, and GM just announced it's spending up to $600mil to sponsor Manchester United for five years.

Quote:
On Monday, GM, the biggest U.S. automaker, announced its Chevrolet brand would sponsor the hugely popular club's shirts for the next seven years. The deal is worth $60 million to $70 million a year and includes a $100 million activation fee that brings the total value to as much as $600 million, said a person with knowledge of the contract who asked not to be identified.

Yep, they are on the verge of paying the taxpayers back, in the UK.
