THREATENS US AIRSPACE TWICE IN ONE MONTH

Within the past month, nuclear capable Russian bombers have encroached upon or entered American airspace – the most recent incident happened on America’s own birthday – Independence Day. It appears Vladimir Putin has once again decided to thumb his nose at Barack Obama.

NO MORE BOWING PRESIDENTS – AMERICA NEEDS A STRONG LEADER; FIRE OBAMA!

This is what happens when America has a President that would rather bow to foreign leaders than “walk quietly and carry a big stick”. And if we are not careful, this weak and feckless President of our will lead us right back into the Cold War.

“Incursions into our airspace, along with their threats to attack our missile defense systems, show President Putin’s aggression in the face of President Obama’s ‘flexibility,’” and “These latest reported actions show what the Russian Federation thinks of the ‘reset’ the Obama administration desperately continues to push” said Rep. Michael Turner, Chairman of the House Armed Services Strategic Forces Subcommitte.

Retired Air Force Lt. Gen. Thomas McInerney, a former Alaska commander for the North American Aerospace Defense Command of NORAD, said the latest bomber intrusion appears to be Russian military testing.

McInerney told the Free Beacon in a recent interview “It’s becoming very obvious that Putin is testing Obama and his national security team, these long-range aviation excursions are duplicating exercises I experienced during the height of the Cold War when I commanded the Alaska NORAD region.”

“Actions by Russia in Syria and Iran demonstrate that Cold War strategy may be resurrected,” McInernery continued, “These are not good indications of future U.S. Russian relations.”

WE NEED A STRONG AMERICA – NOT A RETURN TO CARTER-LIKE APPEASEMENT – FIRE OBAMA!

America, we worked hard to end the Cold War. But Obama’s weakness is tempting our enemies into a rematch. And if Obama wins re-election, the chances of Russia winning that rematch are good.

The chief of the Russian General Staff, Nikolai Makarov, said during a Moscow conference that because missile defense systems are destabilizing, “A decision on pre-emptive use of the attack weapons available will be made when the situation worsens.”

The comments highlighted Russian opposition to planned deployments of U.S. missile defense interceptors and sensors in Europe. Russian Air Force spokesman Lt. Col. Vladimir Deryabin, told reporters in Moscow last month that the arctic strategic war games “practice destruction of enemy air defenses and strategic facilities.”

Frankly, this is akin to the bully on the block standing outside your house and calling you out to fight. If you fail to confront the bully, not only is your credibility is gone….. the rest of the bullies will begin to attack you as well.

Remember a few months ago when an open microphone caught Obama and Russian President Medvedev in unguarded conversation?

“This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility,” said Obama to Medvedev.

Let’s hold Obama to his word…let’s make absolutely sure this is his last election – and let’s make sure he has LOTS of flexible free time to play golf after 2012.

There are way too many people in this country who continually denigrate our President rather than support him and respect the position he has attained.

Those same people blame our President when they read that other countries have begun to see us as a weakened nation.

And those same people apparently don't have the ability to realize that their blindly (and publicly) partisan criticism & expressed hatred of our elected leader is the very reason that the rest of the world thinks we have become weaker.

I find it difficult to understand why so many people feel the need to express hatred and lack of trust toward the current President rather than to offer another opinion or put forth a better alternative to something the President has supported.

Criticizing our President accomplishes nothing unless you can also offer an alternative to his policies that people might accept.

I haven't seen much of that.

Did you feel that way about Bush or Reagan? Obama thinks he is king. Everything must be his way or he will change it by executive order. Does that make my feelings about him clear?

Although I voted against Reagan the first time, I voted for him the second time. I voted against Bush I but I didn't hate him or tell everyone he was a tyrant. I voted against Bush II and did express that he was a dummy... because he was. But I didn't think he needed to be impeached or accuse him of being a Kenyan..

It seems to me that people who didn't vote for Obama are so bitter that he got elected they refuse to accept anything he says or does. I don't recall such bitterness about a President in the past.

Now there's a brilliant statement. Isn't this his last election if he wins? But if he loses he CAN run again can't he?

So if you want to "make absolutely sure this is his last election" then the way to do that is to make sure he wins. LOL

And back to the topic of Russian intrusion of Alaskan air space. This testing (by both sides) has been going on for decades.

Each side knows the other will not start WW3 over it. And I seriously doubt that Obama and Putin are involved.

It's also very conflicting to express the thought that Putin has Obama "in his pocket" then jeopardizes that by the military maneuvers. Which is it?
