It's a treaty to regulate INTERNATIONAL arms trading and has nothing to do with repeal of the second amendment or for that matter gun ownership in the U.S.

Your words, not mine. There are whacko gun nuts and there are gun owners. I don't presently own a gun but have nothing against gun ownership. I do believe the average person should not own assault type weapons and don't intend to get into a discussion on it. I also believe fully automatic "street weapons" that have no other purpose than to kill people, lots of them quickly, and are used by street gangs and drug cartels should also be outlawed.

But here we get into the "nose of the camel into the tent", syndrome, "they're going to start with those then go after the others next". George H. Bush gave up his NRA membership for good reason.

I know you macho guys think only Republicans are real men and hunt or keep a gun in their house for whatever reason and everyone else are girly-men. Surprise! Democrats own guns and hunt or have a weapon in their home.

Any elected politician who actively campaigned to repeal the second amendment would be committing political suicide.

I don't intend to get into a debate on guns. I am NOT against gun ownership, I DON"T believe the second amendment should be repealed.
