The show you and I grew up with (in Chicago with Bob Bell...) was a sort of franchise thing sold by the originators in California. They were all over the country...

This Citygirl was sooo homesick. I remember seeing Bozo listed in the TV guide and was so excited to see a familiar taste of "home". The "bigtop" was the local tv studio with the weatherman dressed in a Bozo costume entertaining a dozen kids in bleachers. To this day I remember how horrible that experience was...
