have a 1999 Crysaler Sebring that has a leak in the drivers side metal rear break line(midway between the rear wheel and master cyl)
do i have to replace the entire line from the master cylinder and any idea what the part(s) will cost--looks a little rusty so may have to come right from the rear wheel cylinder---looks like a few parts -metal from the wheel cyl to rubber piece and back to metal tubing

thanks
lou

IF The rear brakes are disc, the hose will include the metal section
at the caliper and the rubber line in one piece...

If you start at the wheel, and work forward, you can replace
it and make a decision as to where to stop based on the condition
of the remaining line.

You can join new to old in any good section,
but a flare joint will be required where you meet.

hi--i called the dealer to see if i could get a factory replacement brake line but they said they don't carry those lines anymore--figured it would be easier to get a line with fittings already on --but no go

i guess i will have to get some steel lines and bend and flare the ends in a few pieces to snake it thru to the other side of the car then to the master cyl

do they have anything that is more flexible--there are 7 bends in that line--maybe a soft tubing designed for brake lines-would only need to to flare 2 ends

Most chassis lines do not have service parts they are just replaced using bulk lines hand bended and flared as needed.
