My GE WHDVH626 front load washer started leaking from the door. I examined the gasket and I don't see any tears or cracks. Could the gasket just need to be tightened? I'd hate to replace it if all it needs is an adjustment. Any tips on how to tighten the gasket or any ideas as to what else could be causing the leak? Thanks.

That is part of a full model#, found 4 that started with those digits.

I couldn't find any adjustements to the door boot....just says check the hinges for being bent, check door and door lock if ok replace the door boot.

Thanks Jeff. My full model # off the machine is actually WBVH62420FWW. I took the wrong # off a copy a manual I have, but they should all be pretty similar. My door does seem to be out of alignment. You have to lift it up slightly to get the door to close and the lock latch to engage. I suspect the wife has been draping wet clothes over the opened door while unloading the washer. If the hinges are bent, do you know if they are repairable or is it easiest just to replace them?
