I know most of you have been paying attention to where our taxes go, and the abuses of BIG government, so what's you opinion?

Fast and Furious. I'm still smoking about this one, but it seems to have fallen off the radar.

The GSA and it's million dollar "training" conference. It's our damn money!

The Secret Service acting badly. Jeesch!

Leaking Israels preparations on action against Iran. What would we do if this was happening to us?

I hope they really clean house in the GSA. They'll probably dump a few people. That was a disgusting display of "in your face you stupid citizens"

I question how many other agencies are doing the same with our money. I posted this before: Federal Agencies, A-Z

Read 'til your eyes bleed.

Government bureaucracy at it's "best", however, the word best usually means "worst" when used at the Fed Dept levels.

GSA is not the only one/dept/agency with the inherent stigma of spending OPM (Other People's Money).
When ya have political appointees in charge of agencies etc that have no experience running anything other than a political campaign and/or their mouth, you get what you get - a Big Waste of money.

The bad part: it's Your Money!

When I managed numerous multimillion dollar contracts between a private concern and the Govt, I was appalled at what went on and thought of as a routine way of doing business. It was one of the primary reasons I left the industry.

Remember one thing when it comes to you and your relationship with our glorious government - you're just a SMALL person. You ain't squat!

You could probably cut govt personnel by 40% and it would still be bloated.

The US government has fewer politicians than almost every other developed country, relative to its population. Basically, it means your congress and senate is spread over far more people. Canada has about the same number of members in the House of Commons as the US Congress has. But the US has 10 times more people.

You could say that makes our government bigger. In a sense it does, but it theoretically gives us better representation. I'm totally guessing here, but I wouldn't be surprised if the US government has far more unelected agencies and employees than Canada does, even relative to our population.

Well here are two examples of a bloated Congress/government

Congress Pay
Between the US Senate and House of Representatives, the median net worth for a member of Congress is around $913,000, reports The New York Times. Comparing the mean in 2009 with the mean for lawmakers’ assets in 1984, the figure has tripled.

And this bloated fat cat
