I've found the same thing. It's a balance.

The best sites also have moderators that aren't biased. It's OK for mods to get into arguments/discussions, but that can't interfere with their mod duties. On one site I moderate on, the only person with the power to ban people is the owner (like Chris). Moderators, even global moderators, cannot ban people. I prefer that.

While I respect and admire the countless, and I'm sure often thankless hours you've undoubtedly devoted to this site, in a mod role you are grossly lacking in professionalism and tact, as the above two quotes from you suggest.

I WON'T "get over it". I've seen you get into immature name calling sessions, belittle members, put words into others mouths, and often hiding behind the transparent veil of "Oh! It was a joke! I was kidding! You folks are too sensitive! Ad nauseum..."

Frankly, I'm disappointed that you and other mods here left Jason's F-bomb unaddressed. An obvious shirking of your responsibilities.

It's really a shame... But for a few, this is generally a pretty decent place, with folks who are willing and able to listen and try and understand others.

One thing that may not be clear to all those posting. A Moderator is given a green name but you have to check the list at the bottom of the thread to see if he/she is a moderator on THAT forum. For example, I am a moderator on three forums, but certainly not all of them.

Anyone who wants to can ask to be made a moderator on a particular forum; just contact Chris. It is his decision.

To bring this back on topic (somewhat)...

Watch the video of the towers collapsing. I can't remember which tower it was, but one of them, when it let go, the top of the building DID start to rotate out.

That was due to the uneven collapse of the structure below the undamaged portion.

But, once gravity took over, that outward rotation corrected itself and the top of the building, as well as the rest of it, came straight down.
