I am attempting to change out my lower electric water heater element. I cannot get it to budge! I was using the special socket for it and even tried vise grips - no luck. Even sprayed wd-40 on it and let it sit for awhile.
Any advise short of replacing the whole heater? HELP?!!

If it's older then 8yrs. old. I would replace the whole thing. If not. tap the screw to allow the lube to soak in and try using a socket. Vise grips can cause more trouble then their worth..

What Dennis said, but maybe a bit more leverage on that socket will work. But not vise grips.
