I bought EMT conduit for a bird house installation. IS EMT galvanized?

Yes, When wiring a bird house make sure to GFCI protect the plugs.

Thank you both. No wiring, just using the EMT for a post.

Geeze... Most folks add porch lights and a hot tub to the bird houses...

I have run an electric fence around one to keep the squirrels out.

I plan to grease the EMT; hopefully will keep the animals away.

I used a piece of galvy dryer duct around my post. Painted it green to kind of blend in with the surroundings. Made sure there were no tree branches close enough for the little buggers to make a flying leap from above.

ZERO problems with squirrels - they can't climb up the dryer duct.

Good idea. How high does your duct go?
