Call me a thief but I'm unashamedly stealing this idea from another website. I request that it be pinned and reserved for positive comments on everyday life.

I'll start.

My wife talked me into buying a steady rest for my lathe so I can turn long spindles without whipping. It works beautifully.

Day two: I woke up to find my dog licking my hand.

Lots o'things today
1. I didn't have to shovel snow today!
2. THE SUN CAME OUT FOR A COUPLE MINUTES TODAY!
3. Daughter arrived home for the weekend safe and sound
4. Mapmaker's "Santa video", hearing Christian's babygiggle got me laughing.

Our local temps were almost normal at 40 degrees, up from a low of 6 yesterday.

Got my jobs done today and home by 4:30 for the weekend.

My wife signed up for a 4 day weaving class, my gift to her for Christmas. Now, I get to pick out what I want. Thinking a new camera or a Fein Multimaster.

ATS is still 'on the air'!

Thats what I got for Christmas last year. It was a great gift. I haven't been that excited about a gift since I was a kid. Thinking about how excited I was to get mine was my happiness for today.

I wouldn't call it stealing. You found what you thought was

Since you started this on 12/11/09, what made me happy...
...The wifes chiropracter(sp?) may have found the cause of her vertigo.
...my boss left for the day at noon.
...I talked to my son and daughter yesterday. They have families
of their own, and life does get busy most days.

So far today, im happy I woke up, to dang early, but Im here(bigger grin).

Jeeze thief, the list is just too long to bore the folks here with. But I'll give a few... Pretending it was yesterday, eh?

The obvious was "waking up" in the morning.

Then "Eli" (my pooch).

Can't forget "ATS".

And also the fact that I am now DONE with all the outdoor projects in and about the nostril, including the last cabin winterizing (done in -10F weather).

Oh - can't forget seeing the left front tire of my pick-up almost flat , and being able to drive it over to the garage , filling it up with air , and putting a jack stand under it right in that spot (close to the compressor) so when I come back (next year) it won't be down on the ground , and I'll be able to just take it off and get 'er fixed.

And finally, capping the day off by making the 400 mile drive, with a loaded trailer, to Chicago last night, arriving just before the stroke of midnight.

Butt ya know what?

Who cares?

I found a PM from Ernie today. PM's nearly always make me happy. 98% of them are good news. They're like little presents. Sometimes I let them sit for a while just enjoying the anticipation. Ernie told me that someone has asked him to pull this pin but that's fine with me. He and I agree that this will probably stay on page one on it's own strength.

And the day has hardly started. Mom's caregiver will be here in two hours and I'll be able to play in the shop all day.

Being Happy
