bfinsport journeyman Registered: 03/23/04 Posts: 94	I have a spot of some type of very sticky adhesive/sap on my car and would like to clean it off. What is a good cleaner product to remove this type of thing without damaging the finish?? I've been told GOO Gone does a nice job but I'm a little hesitant to use it. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Paradox fanatic Registered: 09/10/08 Posts: 477 Loc: WA/US & Canada	I have used a little Varsol (paint thinner) on road tar on my GM. It worked fine and did no damage. A little background: I am absolutely ANAL about my car's finish, and my wife says I spend more time and money on waxing than on her, so I wouldn't tell you to use Varsol if it damaged my car. Just wash off IMMEDIATELY with car soap. However, use at your own risk, your clearcoat may be from a different manufacturer.
