"Hey! I like matzo balls. Dont you be dissing my soup."

Down on Spadina Avenue there used to be a treasury of Jewish delis and I was a faithful patron. There is nothing about matzos you can teach me. Or knishes. Beef barley soup is my favourite. With Debrizener sausage.

I'm not dissing your soup. I'm trying to poke fun at a Toronto boy who has had too much of it.

"Ahhh... The same quandary I face when it comes to Hillary... "

At least you must have liked her pantsuit!

What the heck is so awful about Hillary? She is energetic, articulate, inclined to public service, hard working, not at all ugly. She stood by her husband when he betrayed her in front of the whole world. Why do you hate her. Why is hate necessary? If you're going to hate a politician, hate them all. If you want somebody to run things, then either get on board with one of them or take the job yourself.

I've NEVER said I "hate" her. And I've stated here enough times why I dislike her already. No point in doing so any more - mostly 'cuz it'll just get supporters of her all riled up, and there's nothing good to be accomplished with that.

As for being "on board" with someone...

I appreciate the "person" that I THINK Obama is... Assuming what he portrays is reality, he could be a healthy leader/example for this country. My problem there is his "liberal" perspective. And I'm not sure he's tough enough...

And assuming McCain is my only other option in November, well I just don't have my arms around this guy - who he really is... At the core.

I understand not being comfortable with the choices. I don't have a vote in this. I believe America is on the doorstep of history and I urge you all to take that step. Millions of your citizens have waited for this. It is time. Much of America's social ills are the result of suspicion and mistrust. What better cure for that? White people putting their trust in a Black president. Hillary said she would. Bill will give a rousing speech and say the same.

He's tough enough. How else could he have gotten where he is. It's time, my friend. All will be well.

Hmmm... Unlike you, my vote will be based on substance of who the person is, the principles portrayed.

NOT on gender or color.

When my dad bought a tv, a CBS that weighed a hundred pounds or more, Dwight Eisenhower was president and I thought the US president was God's co-pilot. I don't quite think like that anymore, but whoever occupies that office wields a fearsome power. Ike left office with a caution to all. The truth of that warning has been proven more than once. Sweep those lying bums out of Washington.

Bill might be down to his last two hundred million. I feel a lot of sympathy for him. SNORT!

At the end of his career Alec Guiness made a bunch of commercials. When asked why he said I just want to leave a little something for the children. No crime in honest money.

My commercial.

The whole idea is that a person of colour or a different gender can have substance and principles. That has taken a long time to sink in.
