Actually Harold, I hold two undergrad degrees and an MBA. I have spent extended time in both Canada and the States. I visit this site as a way to relax and learn about my hobbies of woodworking, remodeling, and putzing with computers. In my 3 person household, we have 3 p4 desktops, two laptops (all xp pro or vista based) cat5e throughout plus wireless for putzing...all installed/maintained by me. Your disparaging little tone toward my comment is what I would expect from the harold I remember from a few years ago. You should really try to grow and become a tad more tolerant yourself...YOU MUST KNOW THAT MY POINT WAS EXACTLY WHAT CABIN CONNECTION NOTED- NOT YOUR SNIDE INSINUATION. I have given Direct Medical Care to gays with full blown HIV- including inserting IV lines. I do not just pop off and spout whatever is politically correct- I actually am in the trenches. Even you should be able tol see that I was talking about bigots from the liberal side. Take off your blinders!

Your response above is pure BS. I wasn't insinuating, I said it LOUD and CLEAR. Quote:
promote aetheism, gays, greenism/global warming fanaticism and you are an intellectual
That is a pure display of intolerance and ignorance. Seems, if you actually did go to college, you didn't like your professors or classmates who were there to be intellectuals for at least a while. It is possible that for hard-working parents spending $20,000 a year for 5 years in college that someone never achieves an intellect.
Because you have a Republican committee smear-campaign personal-attack mode to anyone who points that out - doesn't wash away your statement.

I'm not a bigot, but I truly believe that modern society should study the differences in human races. That kind of work was given a black eye in the late 1930's by Hitler, an has been a "verbotten" subject ever since.
Am I a bigot to believe that if we looked, we'd find differences between the various human races? Am I wrong to say that we're simply not looking because anything that looks like "eugenics" is immediately labeled as bigotry in disguise? And, no reputable sponsor wants to be associated with anything so politically incorrect as bigotry.
The study of human races is an area where we simply choose not to look, and when we do look, we look with blinders on to ensure we see only what we're looking for, and nothing else.
Truth is, we're scared we're going to see what we don't want to. We're ostriches with our heads in the sand, hoping that not seeing an issue will make it disappear.

You keep repeating that. I respond every time that the studies of genetics, evolution, linguistics, medicine, Anthropology and Sociology are fields that do attend to the study of human races.
It seems like they don't exist to engineering students with little experience in such studies, but they have been a subject, especially during your entire lifetime.

No, but if you fixated on differences of appearance, you'd have little to go upon for superiority, and if you fixated upon some individuals in certain circumstances to smear the entire race, you would be a bigot. Usually, bigots don't go about choosing Booker T. Washington, Lloyd Quarterman, Clarence Thomas, Maya Angelou, or Jackie Robinson to prove the superiority of blacks, usually some poor person of limited ability to prove the entire race inferior.

My education is real. Your phony "tolerance" is not. As I said- can't beat the message than beat the guy with verbal garbage. You are a hypocrite. You Made your living installing freon based systems and (my God!) soot belching heat systems even as you prattle on about my statement disparaging greenies. I guarantee I've had more formal education (BS Biology 198o, 3years organic and physical chemistry, ecology, etc; BSN 1983; MBA 1991) then you. I put myself through school- I know the value of education. I do not sit in a little cubicle or dingy little office taking out my passive/aggressive surges on whoever stumbles over my rantings. Stick to what you know- hvac/hydronics and leave real life to us who are not filled with rage at what we made out of life...

More flaming trash from you. Now you're trying to pull diploma 'rank' to show your degrees are better than a working man. We have similar degrees and we earned them ourselves, whoopee. That's two Republican 'dirty-tricks' bigot tries in a row now. You still can't camouflage your ignorant statement: Quote:
promote aetheism, gays, greenism/global warming fanaticism and you are an intellectual
No matter how many times you try to divert attention from that, it still comes back on the net to haunt you forever.
It is heartening to see that people who would have jumped on the chance a few years ago to join your flaming team this time aren't so excited to be seen as intolerant of intellectuals now. As said to Nestor, that is one problem of having few courses in human relations during a science and engineering curriculum.

His thought processes do provide amusement. His statement about his disparaging greenies is supposed to be a defense against prejudice: Quote:

Well, duh. There were no other cooling and heating equipment to buy. What is his intent, that people shouldn't therefore have bought HVAC or have it installed and serviced so it saved energy? Would the solar systems I installed in the 1970's and 80's be something bad, so people shouldn't have HVAC? Perhaps they shouldn't have had education by intellectuals instead?
As you say: Some people went to school "for free" and some went to school "for nothing". But then, some people paid their way through and got little.
