hmm, agree to disagree, they are linked (imo).

Is that the same as security analysts saying there were wmd devices in Iraq?

A ceo was looking for his replacement, he asked the technical director, pr director and company accountant what 1+1 was - the accountant got the job because he said "what do you want it to be?" Long boring joke made short, but the principle is the same. You can make valid/un valid numbers add up to whatever you want as long as you are convincing.

I's a FACT that the Earth has gone through warming/cooling cycles for millions of years. Whilst what we can do some stuff to help, how much will this impact on the natural cycle of things?

Increased percentages of carbon dioxide will make larger lungs.

Ever figured out how much CO2 one volcano puts out, neither have I , but someone has.

http://volcano.und.edu/vwdocs/frequent_questions/grp6/question1375.html

Note that volcanic activity produces 3% of the annual added CO2 while human activity produces the rest, so we do add a heck of a lot of CO2 to the atmosphere. If the global warming trend is due to increased atmospheric CO2 levels, then it looks like we certainly have a hand in it.

My math might be off but I work out the volcanic contribution at 600 million tons per year, while the human contribution is 19 billion tons a year and increasing.

hmm, agree to disagree,

Sure, linked, but different. Climatology is important in meteorology. Changing climate makes meteorology difficult. The failures of the NAM, GFS, Euro, Canadian, and similar models this year have been the most dramatic I've ever seen. Storms appear and disappear across 6 hour runs in strange ways.

Pointing out failures in meteorology SUPPORTS changing climate. You can't say climatology is wrong because meteorology is wrong.

No, we're talking about climate and weather, not Iraq or 9/11.

So true, so true.

Maybe it has not after all. How about shifted instead?

I dont like it when people start throwing around "you use to much energy" or "your house is to big" as reasons for global warming. If I want a 10,000sq ft house Ill build one. Ill pay for it to. The moment we start telling someone that your house is to big and your car is to big then you shouldnt have that boat or RV. I think we will be living in a country like china. I dont want that. No one wants to heat only one room( even back then) but 50yrs ago thay had to. 150yrs ago they didnt have cars should we go back so we can deal with the hay and horse dropings and methane of 100,0000 horses or should I drive my car. New tech is the way out not old tech. Look forward not back

Sure, you and most of the country wouldn't like to have it pointed out that you are using up resources for ego.

The next line is that smoking outside the door of an eating establishment is none of your business as used to be that smoking a cigar next to someone inside who went to eat a fine steak dinner was none of their business.

Oh, and before evasion about this not being about smoking, the relevance is that using ten times more fuel than somebody in a well-insulated house is very similar to someone in a mansion in Atlanta using 100 times what a household uses every day.

Relative responsibility for being a cause is annoying. It is as annoying as states stopping smoking in establishments.
