When i bring up microsoft word I get the macros are disabled .
how do I enable macros?

To enable macros in Microsoft Word 2003 and earlier:

Click Macro on the Tools menu.

Click on Security in the macros dropdown menu.
*

Set the Security level to either medium or low.
*

Exit Word to make the new setting effective.

(Earlier versions of Word feature the same Security screen, accessed via the same Tools menu, but the exact command names may be different)
