The wipers on my Impala now stop in the vertical positon. I am not sure, but it is possible that they were turned on when they were frozen by ice. I've tried manually pushing them down to the proper positon, but they wipe one time and they return to the vertical position.

Can anyone help me reset them so that they stop wiping in the down or horizontal position?

Thank you,

DRV

Not familiar with the specifics of those motors, but it sounds like something has slipped.

Unfortunately, this is becoming a common GM problem. The switch that determines the "Home" position is internal to the motor - you can't adjust it. When this happens, I thiink the only solution is to pull the arms off the motor shaft and reset them.
