EVERYONE and their mother is selling these made in china tools on Ebay now, you'll see the same tool from hundreds of sellers, under various "off-brand" names, or no name at all, all made in the same place-for occasional use they're fine, but not any more than that. Watch out for the shipping costs, that's where they get you.

i would stay away form the electric stuff....almost looks like harbour frieght pwoer tools (same quality atleast) , not worth it in my book.....I once baught an electric toolfrom harbour frieght (it was cheap an i only need it to last one day) $40 compared to $400 for something quality, well it didnt last even 3 minutes untill it broke.....I would be weary with out any type of brand name on them

Agreed - If it has a plug and does not have a nameplate you'd see Norm using or in your favorite contractors' truck, I'd not purchase online (it would have to be local for me, easy returns/replacement.) These cheaper tools often come with switches/housings, etc that are so flimsy or poorly made that they can acutally vibrate themselves into paperweight status. Also, if it spins, chances are the runout / wobble is going to be way too much for acceptable results. My BIL bought a Ryobi biscuit cutter and he likened the end results as being wide enough to drive a car through. My two cents.

Should read "Price is forgotten when quality remains"

You probably can't go wrong with the DeWalt. If you can get a pre-Black and Decker Porter Cable 557, those are good too.

If you have $600 to spend - one WW mag called it "the Lamborghini of joiners."

Never used one, but held one once - very, very nice.

Don't buy this one. I bought one just like that, maybe the same one, I think mine is blue can't remember. It's pretty much junk. Looks just like the one in your link though, case and all, but different color. If you only need it say once, then maybe not a bad deal, but if you plan on using it, stay away. It's difficult to push in, not a smooth action, which causes it to slip off of your mark. The fence on it is garbage to say the least. It also does not make the depth of cut accurate and biscuits are a pain to get in the slot it cuts. I haven't really spent the time to figure out what the problem is though other than all of the adjustments are junk. This was the first "no name" tool I've ever purchased and won't ever be fooled again. I'm going to buy the dewalt joiner and be done with it. It's the one my dad bought and loves it. You can usually find reman. ones and good deals and they'll have a warranty with them. I bought my router that way and love it and have had no problems. It has someone's initials carved in it, but oh well, I saved about $100.00 on it. So to answer your question, Yes, dealt with them, don't buy it unless you need it for a one time think and just something to get by with

Good luck with the Crown FranS. I did most of my house. I have a very good book on crown molding that I ordered from http://www.compoundmiter.com/ If you need any reference, let me know and I can probably email/post some stuff for you to look at. That is if you haven't ever done it, if you have, then you probably already know enough about it.
