taught...wear eye shood make dis post... den eye taught... why knot......... right ear My Mothers Dementia...is over taking us.... With all her health care concerns...I have had to become a little ovlivious to the obvious...to remain strong and focused . Having my daughter here and having some time to step back...allowed me to take a closer look at things.. One of the reasons long ago.... I decided to hang around here was I found such wonderful caring...helpful `friends`` here Oh in my heart of hearts...I cant begin to say what many of you here have done for me ..`my life`.. The sweet wonderful...sometimes hillarious smiles and the warm tears I feel for others... when away from here..Well Well.....well..  I am standing again... at one more of those little cross roads I loath pity parties becuase I feel they are counter productive There is plenty of time for crying.... After the Fat Lady Sings ( I love Rubenesque whoa-men.. they hold such a rich full note.. . ) So what I want to say....If you dont see me now and then on the radar screen......... It may be for the fact we are praticing the touch..  and go. ..landings... For over 5 years...I have been the only one in the cock-pit with Mom...( my co-pilot...  )... And she is starting to really....REALLY lose it... For those who have been there... Full Time... you know how the sick..empty....lost feeling of not being able to connect can make....one feel....  ... I need to get my bearings up to date....And to all my brothers and sisters....I could use a couple of GOOD SPOTTERS... up in the ``Tower `` All prayers accepted.. .all wishes refrained... Well... Still here doing duh ol Wing Over...Loop-D-Loop.. Dont look up too long.... ....could get some Pigeon ..Poo..... ooopppp's

I admire you too. Judy spends three days a week with a lady whose mind is completely gone. We're so lucky here because my mother is 86 and has a little trouble remembering things sometimes and can't quite process some others but what the heck, for all I know, I'm worse.

was reading an article in aarp mag about alzheimers patient and the fact that they get bored too, even tho they can't remember stuff. the article was saying to find things that they used to do and create games. they had a patient that used to be a post man. so they gave him paper and envelopes. he folded up the paper and put in the envelope and delivered the "letters" to other patients. made him happy and gave him something to do. they gave others puzzles or needle point, if someone used to do that. lots of great ideas. the article was saying to keep what's left active and working. give the patients better quality of life.
