I seem to not quite have the pressure I think I should (new house). So, I turned up the pressure (quite a bit) on my water line. It got better but my neighbors' sprinklers still tower over mine. My front yard spout gets great pressure because it's right by the water line. But, it's really my back yard spout that seems to struggle.
I bought a 100ft hose because that's what I need to get to this one area on the side. So, my question is would I lose pressure over 100ft hose as opposed to using a 75ft or 50ft? I don't need but probably 50-75 for the back so if that's true then I might get a shorter hose and use a Y adapter at my back spout because I need to keep the 100ft to reach the side area as I mentioned.

there would be minimal, if any, loss of pressure from using 100' hose as opposed to 75' assuming all hoses are the same size. but keep in mind that you have a single line coming into the house, 3/4 inch or whatever and it can only carry so much water at a time. put a 'y' on it and branch off to two 3/4 inch pipes and you'll not get the same performance out of the sub-lines as the main.ront

A possible problem if you used say 3/8" hose up to 75' your pressure would be ok. Increase the distance to 100' with 3/8" hose - pressure would drop, unless you increased the water pressure to compensate.
Increase the hose size to 1/2" size - pressure would be more or less the same at 100' as 3/8" at 75'.

But if you wanted to connect a pressure washer onto the end of a 1/2" hose at 100' length the GPM would not be enough for the pressure washer to operate, you either would have to increase the hose size to 3/4" (poor sprinkler output) or increase the water pressure at source.
