The engine overheated and warped the head. we replaced the water pump and the thermostat when the top end of engine was reworked, including replacement of the head gasket. Now the engine is overheating and no water is circulating through the engine. Water goes into the block but it does not circulate. My mechanic is stumped, please help.

Could be the wrong head gasket, blocking water holes. Could be a bad thermostat. Could be the wrong water pump. But if you are asking for your mechanic, could be the wrong mechanic.
