Wow! I forgot how scary this movie was! I can just imagine any child curled up in a little ball, wide eyed, under the blanket than out during some of the scenes.
As a child I remember being really upset when Bambi's Mother got killed. I still don't know Disney would do that to a child. Totally devistating. That goes for Dumbo's Mom too....must be a Freudian thing with him.
The remastering was done beautifully. I enjoyed it.

I liked this much more than I thought I would. It looked pretty hokey when the trailers were out but my brother talked me into renting it. I'm glad I did. Here is my brothers review of it on our family website. Basically sums it up:
It was like a comic book come to life. The cinamatography was GREAT! Every scene of this movie was totally awesome to look at. And it was like the 1930's serials on purpose. They made a movie, like they would have back then if they had the technology. It blows my mind that every scene was filmed in front of a blue screen. Amazing. It was just escapist fun. I'm not gonna buy it (like I do some) but it's a fun rental sometimes. I enjoy many of these movies because I am not expecting great acting and drama, you know?

Last night it was two!
I love movies. Sometimes I don't always love the movie, but I love movies.
I currently have 130 movies in my netflix line up. Some I have seen years ago, but others are new.
I'm usually bummed when I don't have a movie to watch...such as tonight. No treats from the mailman today. Maybe Monday.

Oh I thought Sky Captain and the world of tomorrow was one movie ... I gotta get out more. And hey, I hadn't realized you ordered movies and received tem in the mail ... cool! I don't think we have that here yet. Lots of honour system involved in that I suppose. I mean what's to prevent someone from calling Netflix and asking "Hey where the heck's that movie I ordered last week" while he's making bootleg christmas gifts for for friends and relatives .

Netflix understands that movies do get lost in the mail and yes it is an honor system.
I've viewed over 250 movies from them and I have not received one. Pretty good ratio.
They understand the risk...just as a car rental agency understands that you might scratch their car.
If you make a habit of it they cancel your account and you are not allowed back in. They track your computer ID and they keep you out.
If you are bootlegging them, trust me, you don't want to ruin a good thing.

What's the charge to order, receive and return a movie?

There are different package deals. I'm on the 3 movies out at a time and keep them as long as you want for a flat fee of $17.95 per month. This includes paid return envelopes. In the summer I usually bump it up to more movies because normal television is on re-runs. The nice thing about this is that they not only have movies (over 40,000 I think) but they also have television series discs as well. I went through the first four seasons of the Sopranos last summer. So nice not to have to wait a week and pay extreme cable charges. They have a similar system in Canada called relay rentals. It's a little more but seems to be the same system. Probably worth a look if you are interested. Relay Rentals

This is a comedy starring Bernie Mack and Angela Bassett about a baseball player that gets his 3000th hit. I thought it was good and exceptionally liked it since it was filmed right here in Milwaukee at Miller Stadium. It even had the racing sausage's in it. It was cute, I'd rate it 3 outta 5 stars.

CBS' Sunday Morning show had a piece on Gene Wilder. Romantically hilarious. I'd add any of his movies to to my to-watch-again list.
On the other hand, anything with Bernie Mack, makes me duck for cover... sorry, my opinion.
